GPD: 'Fake cop' stalked Gastonia woman

A Gastonia man is accused of pretending to be a police officer so he could pull over a woman he's accused of stalking.

GASTONIA, N.C. -- A Gastonia man is accused of pretending to be a police officer so he could pull over a woman he's accused of stalking.

Bradley Isenhour is facing charges of stalking and illegally using a blue light.

Gastonia Police said on Wednesday, a woman was driving home from work on Craig Avenue when a driver tried to stop her and a passenger in her car by turning on blue lights.

The woman didn't stop, drove home and confronted Isenhour, who took off.

Police said Isenhour frequently visited the woman at the restaurant she where she worked, and followed her and other female employees home.

They said he's called and texted her multiple times describing the exterior of the house she lives in.

Gastonia Police Captain Mike Lari said if someone pulls you over with a blue light and you're not sure they're an officer, slow down, turn on your hazards and call 911.

"The 911 operator is going to have contact with the officer trying to pull you over-- if it's really an officer," Capt. Lari said.

Isenhour appeared in court Thursday. His bond is at $30,000. He's scheduled to appear in court again in June.
