Gastonia police say missing woman found safe

The department believed she was facing a mental health crisis.

GASTONIA, N.C. — The Gastonia Police Department said a woman it had asked for help finding has been found safe.

The department said she last called them at 1 a.m. on January 26 asking for help with her car. However, she called back 10 minutes later and canceled her request. Police now believe she's facing some kind of mental health crisis.
