GASTONIA, N.C. — A woman was reportedly kidnapped Saturday in Gastonia, but police said she was found safe later in the evening.
The Gastonia Police Department activated an Ashanti Alert for the woman, noting she was believed to be with a man they named as a possible suspect. The alert was activated around 7 p.m., and then canceled just before 9 p.m.
A spokesperson for the department confirmed she was found alive to WCNC Charlotte. As of writing, the case remains under investigation.
