NASHVILLE -- Two weeks after a tour bus slammed into the back of a tractor-trailer along Interstate 85 in Belmont, we took a road trip to Nashville, Tennessee to sit down with the family of the gospel singers involved.

While several people were hurt in the accident, including Mike and Kelly Bowling's three children, their injuries were the worst. Mike Bowling has a fractured skull and a broken arm. His wife Kelly Bowling has a crushed vertebrae and a broken foot.

It s amazing that everyone survived after listening to Kelly Bowling describe the accident.

The wreck slammed my feet against the wall of the bunk bed, which caused my injury. We slammed really hard and I woke up to brakes squealing. And I walked up front and I heard them all screaming. I walked up front and literally the front end of our bus was just gone, said Kelly Bowling.

The Bowling family allowed us to sit and talk with them at their home in Tennessee. Hear where they are in their recovery and how their faith has played a role. Watch the story Tuesday night at 11 on NewsChannel 36.
