Here's what grocery store is coming to NoDa

The new grocery store will be about a quarter of a mile from the 36th Street Station light rail stop.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The speculation is finally over -- the new grocery store coming to Charlotte's NoDa neighborhood has been announced.

Sprouts Farmers Market will be opening at One NoDa Park, on East 36th Street just off North Tryon Street, about a quarter of a mile from the 36th Street Station light rail stop.

While there are multiple grocery stores within a few miles of the heart of NoDa, many people have been calling for a more centralized grocery store option for years.

WCNC Charlotte reached out to Sprouts Farmers Market for more information on when the new location is set to open and how many jobs it will bring to the community.
