HICKORY, N.C. -- Town officials in Hickory say that residents whose water is discolored have nothing to worry about.
Hickory Public Utilities is aware of affected areas and is working to address the problem.
Town officials say the water is safe to use and consume.
The City asks anyone whose water is discolored to not notify Public Utilities unless the problem persists into Friday.
If the water discoloration continues into Friday, you're asked to call (828) 323-7500 to report your name and address.
