CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An investigation is underway after a shooting left one person dead on Monday.
The shooting happened on Lakewood Avenue near Grant Street, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Police were called to the area just after 9:30 p.m. on Monday.
Two people were found with gunshot wounds at the scene. 26-year-old Lemuel Carr, died from injuries they suffered in the shooting. The other person was taken to a local hospital for life-threatening injuries.
No suspect information has been released.
