So you're hungry — and you're ready for some breakfast and brunch food. Good news: we've found the freshest spots to satisfy your appetite. Here are the newest places to check out the next time you're in the mood for breakfast and brunch.

Sunrise Restaurant

8923 Albemarle Road, East Charlotte

Sunrise Restaurant is a Charlotte staple that has been in business for nearly 30 years. After closing its doors last year, it recently reopened at a new, larger location that features more seating options, a dedicated to-go pickup area and more parking.

Stop by for a traditional breakfast, with options like ham and cheese omelets, hotcakes with choice of meat, ribeye steak with eggs, fish and grits and more.

With a 3.5-star Yelp rating out of 16 reviews, Sunrise Restaurant has received mixed reviews.

Yelper Peter M., who reviewed it on Aug. 13, wrote, "The new place is all shiny and clean, well-staffed with a big Greek menu for Charlotte's appetite. My visit could not have gone better, but I can see why some have dissed them on slow service, improperly cooked eggs, etc. While I admit it took a while for my breakfast to arrive, my cup of coffee was kept fresh and hot. The eggs were cooked perfectly, too."

Abby L. noted, "The new restaurant is beautiful! It's huge, clean, fresh and busy! The staff is friendly, but can get pretty backed up with the huge crowds, so maybe not as attentive as they would hope to be."

Sunrise Restaurant is open from 6 a.m.–10 p.m. from Monday-Saturday and 6 a.m.–3 p.m. on Sunday.

Eggs Up Grill

6414 Rea Road, South Charlotte

Eggs Up Grill is a breakfast and brunch chain that's opened its first Charlotte location.

Morning favorites include corned beef hash and eggs served with home fries or grits and toast, and the Mason Dixon, made up of two eggs with sausage patties, biscuit and gravy.

Craving an omelet? Signature options include the Goodness Gracious, an egg white omelet with spinach, onions, mushrooms and feta cheese topped with sliced tomatoes; the Greek, made with spinach, feta cheese, tomatoes and black olives; and the West Coast with ham, onions, peppers and cheddar cheese.

Eggs Up Grill is off to a promising start with four stars out of 10 reviews on Yelp.

Yelper Tom C., who reviewed it on Aug. 10, wrote, "It was a delightful experience as we were greeted with excellent service and the food was prepared perfectly. Three things are critical to us as customers: service, food and reasonable pricing. This new franchise did hit all of those key points."

And James A. wrote, "Friendly service and well-organized food. Great manager owner who's very nice. The price is fair for the amount of food that you receive. I would recommend this to anybody."

Eggs Up Grill is open daily from 6 a.m.–2 p.m.

Devon and Blakely

101 S. Tryon St., Unit 104, Uptown

Devon and Blakely is a NYC-based breakfast and brunch chain, offering breakfast, sandwiches, salads and more. This is its first eatery in North Carolina.

In the morning, offerings include egg and cheese wraps with choice of meat, country-style muffins, old-fashioned scones and bagels with lox and cream cheese. A full coffee bar is also available.

Later in the day, try a sandwich like the chicken Milanese, made with mozzarella, roasted tomato bruschetta and fresh basil on ciabatta. (Find the full menu here.)

With a 3.5-star rating out of 14 reviews on Yelp, Devon and Blakely is still finding its way, but it's early days.

Yelper Dana C., who visited the eatery on July 9, wrote, "Solid breakfast and lunch spot in Uptown. Very vegetarian friendly and an enormous selection of soups, sandwiches and salad toppings for build your own."

Devon and Blakely is open from 6:30 a.m.–4 p.m. on weekdays. (It's closed on weekends.)
