2 kids drown in Gaston County pool, officials say

The names of the kids have not yet been released, though both are believed to be under 10 years old, according to Gaston County officials.

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — Two kids drowned at a home in Dallas, North Carolina, on Sunday morning, Gaston County Emergency Medical Services confirmed Monday.

The drownings happened in a pool on Ike Lynch Road where officers with the Gaston County Police Department responded around 9:45 a.m.

The names of the children have not yet been released, though both are believed to be under 10 years old, according to GEMS.

Officials do not suspect foul play at this time, though there are plans to consult with the district attorney's office once the investigation is finished.
