LAKE NORMAN, N.C. -- In neighborhood news out of Catawba County, Jessica Harvey has been crowned as the new Mrs. North Carolina.
Mrs. Harvey is the wife of pro baseball player Kris Harvey of the Florida Marlins and mother of a 16-month-old daughter.
She was a track and field star for Clemson University, and is now a business development and marketing manager for a technology firm in Mooresville.
She'll compete for Mrs. America next spring.
