NC restaurant getting attention for customer's kind gesture

Side Street Pour House and Grill is thanking a man that went out of his way to leave a tip.

LENOIR, N.C. — A Lenoir restaurant is getting attention online after sharing an act of kindness from a customer.

The Side Street Pour House and Grill shared that a customer accidentally took the signed merchant's copy of the receipt instead of the customer receipt after his visit, meaning the server could not receive the intended tip. The man realized what had happened when he looked at a recent bank withdrawal and realized it was incorrect.

"That was no way for either of us to end 2023," Ted wrote in his note. "Here's to a fresh start."
