YORK COUNTY, S.C. -- A York County Sheriff's deputy suffered minor injuries after his patrol car was hit by a suspected drunk driver Friday morning.
The incident took place on North Cherry Road Just north of the Home Depot shopping area around midnight on May 9.
The Deputy was sitting in the median stopped with his lights on when the other driver hit his patrol car head on, according to the sheriff's office.

The deputy only suffered minor injuries. The other driver was taken to PMC with minor injuries as well, according to the sheriff's office.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
The suspect named in the incident is Cesar Cortez.
