CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are conducting a homicide investigation in east Charlotte Tuesday night after a man was shot and killed inside a business.
Officers responded to a call around 11:15 p.m. in the 3100 block of Amity Court. When they arrived on scene they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Medic pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The victim was inside his office with a female when a male suspect walked in and confronted them. The suspect fled the scene. K-9 attempted to search for the suspect but was unsuccessful.
Officials have not released the victim's identity. The person's death marks Charlotte's 75th homicide of 2017.
