CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. — A domestic dispute led to a man being shot by deputies in Caldwell County on Monday.
The shooting happened around 10 p.m. on Monday on Smithfield Drive in Hudson, according to the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies were called to the area for a domestic dispute. An armed man was found at the scene and shot by deputies. He was taken to the hospital and remains in stable condition, according to the sheriff's office. No injuries were reported to any deputies.
The deputies involved in the shooting are on administrative leave until the District Attorney reviews the case.
The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation is also investigating.
