MATTHEWS, N.C. — The Matthews Police Department reports a 16-year-old girl who had been reported as missing Friday night was safely located Saturday afternoon.
Officers said she had last been seen at the Microtel hotel on Matthews-Mint Hill Road, near Butler High School. That report came in close to 11 p.m.
The department said around 4 p.m. Saturday the teen was found safe.
