CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Deputy United States Marshal Thomas Weeks, Jr., will be remembered Monday during a memorial service at Bojangles Coliseum.
Weeks was one of four law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty as a U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force tried to arrest a suspect in east Charlotte.
The memorial service Monday will begin at 10:30 a.m.

He was a 13-year veteran of the U.S. Marshals Service and spent the last 10 years of his career in Charlotte. He was part of the team executing an arrest warrant when he was shot and killed.
Prior to joining the U.S. Marshals Service in 2011, he spent eight years with Customs and Border Protection.
Weeks is survived by his wife and four children.
Drivers near Independence Boulevard on Monday should anticipate potential traffic delays because of the memorial service.
