Missing Cabarrus County teen found safe, officials say

Cabarrus County officials requested the public's assistance in locating a missing teen, who has since been found safe.

CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. — Deputies in Cabarrus County have canceled a missing person's alert after the teen was safely located. 

Officials initially believed that the teen may have been in the Charlotte area after releasing an alert in April requesting the public's assistance.

The teen was reported missing on Monday, April 22. Officials told WCNC Charlotte that he was located and safe on June 3.
