CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives are asking for the public's help finding a missing Charlotte man who may be suffering from a cognitive impairment.
Keith Broom, 71, was last seen leaving his home on Wrayhill Drive in northeast Charlotte in a black Chevrolet pickup around 10 a.m., Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said. It's unclear where Broom was going when he was last seen.
Broom is described as a Black man, approximately 6 feet tall and weighs around 150 pounds. He has short gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a tan hat, an olive green jacket with a blue-and-white checkered dress shirt and khaki pants. Broome also had a dark-colored belt.
Broom was seen driving a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado with North Carolina license plate HHB-7305.
Broom has been diagnosed with cognitive impairment, according to CMPD, which is causing authorities to be concerned that he may be confused or lost.
Anyone who has seen Broom or the vehicle in question is asked to call CMPD immediately at 704-336-7600. Witnesses can also call 911 if they see Broom.
