MONROE, N.C. — Police are investigating a death after a shooting in Monroe on Tuesday night.
The shooting happened on Walkup Avenue just west of U.S. 74 on Tuesday, according to the Monroe Police Department. A death investigation is now underway.
People were asked to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
Police have not stated how many victims there are or if any suspects were arrested. Nobody involved has been identified.
