Charlotte house fire set on purpose, officials say.

The fire caused about $26,000 in damage.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A house fire in northwest Charlotte on Saturday was set on purpose, according to the Charlotte Fire Department.

The fire broke out on Thriftwood Drive in a vacant house. Overall, it caused about $26,000 in damages. 

Nobody was hurt, the department said. 

Fire officials told WCNC Charlotte the fire is still under investigation.
