1 hurt, 4 arrested after shooting in Stanly County

Police say at least one of the suspects is a juvenile.

NORWOOD, N.C. — A shooting that temporarily left a community on lockdown led to four people being arrested on Thursday.

The shooting happened on North Kendall Street around 3:30 p.m., according to the Norwood Police Department. One victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound. They were taken to the hospital for further treatment.

Police sent a reverse 911 call to residents in Norwood alerting them to stay indoors as they searched for the suspects.

Four people were soon arrested for the shooting. The alert was then lifted by police.

Investigators believe at least one of the suspects is a juvenile. The names of the suspects have not been released.

This shooting remains under investigation by the Norwood Police Department.
