"They typically will use duct tape," says self-defense expert Karen Fisher, "They're not going to usually carry rope or things like that."

Fisher runs her own security business called Carolina Self Protection and teaches clients how to escape if their wrists get duct taped.

So it got my producer Allison Andrews and me thinking, "If we found ourselves in this terrifying situation, would we know how to get out?"

We learned that if try to wiggle your wrists out of the tape it makes it nearly impossible and painful.
