SALISBURY, N.C. -- Police were investigating a deadly accident in Salisbury on Thursday evening.
It happened around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Jake Alexander Blvd. and Lincolnton Rd. Investigators told NBC Charlotte two vehicles were involved. A passenger had to be cut out of one of the vehicles. She was rushed to NC Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem where she died.
The driver of that same car was rushed to North East Medical Center in Concord with serious injuries. The driver and passenger in the other vehicle were not hurt.
Names of the victims have not been released. Policed believed weather was not a factor. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
