CHARLOTTE, N.C. — What began as a funny joke between moms in a Facebook group who love NBC Charlotte Chief Meteorologist Brad Panovich has grown into an unbelievable way to give back to the Carolinas for Hurricane Florence relief efforts.
The moms pitched in to buy Brad gift cards for dinner after they learned he was working through his break in order to cover Florence for days.
Soon, the moms had too much money and decided to get supplies for Florence victims. Then there was a post suggesting a t-shirt fundraiser, and the pre-orders started rolling in.
100% of the proceeds from the sale of "I'm a Brad FANovich" t-shirts will go directly to hurricane relief efforts.
You can order the shirts online; the deadline is Friday, September 28.
