CHESTERFIELD, S.C. — One person is dead following an overnight crash in Chesterfield County, according to the South Carolina State Highway Patrol on Sunday.
The crash happened around 12:30 a.m. on South Carolina Highway 9 near Coon Creek Rd.
A pickup truck and a sedan were involved in a head-on collision. The person in the sedan, who has not been publicly identified, died at the scene.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
