CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person died in a crash on Interstate 485 in northeast Charlotte on Monday afternoon, according to Medic.
It happened before 2 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-485 near Interstate 85 and mile marker 30.
Officials have not reported the cause of the crash.
Backups are expected near the Exit 30 ramp for several hours, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, and the ramp is expected to stay closed until around 5:50 p.m.
