CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Medic said a person was treated for life-threatening injuries after a shooting in an East Charlotte neighborhood, Sunday morning.
The person was transported to Atrium CMC, Medic said.
The shooting happened around 7 a.m. Sunday morning on Robinwood Drive. A large police presence was reported in the area shortly after.
WCNC Charlotte reached out to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department for more information.
CMPD said officers responded to an "assault with a deadly weapon" call at the house. The victim told police an unknown suspect shot him and fled the scene.
This is a developing story. CMPD is still investigating the case.
