Person shot in south Charlotte home

It happened just after noon on Benjamin Street.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person went to the hospital with serious injuries after being shot in south Charlotte on Sunday, according to Medic.

The shooting happened on Benjamin Street just after 12 p.m.

Neighbors told WCNC Charlotte the person was sitting in their home when a bullet flew through the window. A bullet-sized hole could be seen in the window.

Multiple Charlotte police officers responded to investigate.
