Person shot in Uptown Charlotte

One person is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a shooting in Uptown Charlotte, Sunday morning.

The shooting happened overnight on E. 5th Street, according to Medic, right near a social club and bar. 

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has not released any information about this shooting as of Sunday morning.
