CHARLOTTE, N.C. — In a post on social media Friday afternoon, PNC Music Pavilion announced that personal lawn chairs are no longer allowed at the venue.
The post goes on to say that this new policy is for the purpose of "improving venue entry and for security purposes."
Although guests are no longer allowed to bring outside lawn chairs to events, lawn chairs can still be reserved ahead of time and can be picked up inside the venue on the day of the show.
While this policy appears to be effective immediately, PNC Music Pavilion's website still states the following under its guidelines:
"Low lawn chairs e.g. beach chairs are allowed but the seat cannot be higher than 9 inches from the ground."
The website's guidelines also state that there is limited availability for lawn chair rentals and the cost is $5. It is unclear if the venue will be providing more lawn chairs for rental due to the new policy.
