CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, S.C. — Deputies were searching for a missing man in Chesterfield County Thursday afternoon.
The sheriff's office said Johnny Ray Roscoe, 61, was last seen on Monday evening.
On Thursday evening, investigators told NBC Charlotte said Roscoe's body was found in a "heavily, wooded, swampy area" near where he used to live off Highway 102 in Patrick.
"Sheriff Dixon and the Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office express their condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Roscoe," a statement read.
