LINCOLNTON, N.C. -- The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office is investigating another hit list found at West Lincoln Middle School.

The list was discovered Thursday morning. Deputies say the 6th grade girl who found it later confessed to writing it.

"He told me, 'Momma, please come and get me,' and I could tell he was a little scared," said Tammy Singletary, a parent who picked up her 6th grade son early because of the threat.

Investigators say that the new note was found in the girls bathroom and had a list of 18 students on it compared to a list found Tuesday afternoon in the boys bathroom that had five names.

Deputies say that first list was written by an 8th grader; he was identified and suspended.

"There is not going to be any tolerance for any kind of suspicious notes or any kind of hit list were not going to take that lightly were going to investigate," said Lt. Jon Propst of the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.

In addition to being punished at school, both students could be charged as juveniles, no decision has been made on that.

"I think his parents should teach him a lesson not to do that again," said Jarrod Gates, a seventh grader.

Deputies don't think that either student was serious.
