CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was hurt during a shooting in southwest Charlotte on Thursday afternoon.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police and Medic responded to a report of shots being fired near the intersection of Romare Bearden Drive and Spring Forest Drive, which is just down the street from the West Boulevard Library. The incident happened around 2 p.m.
WCNC Charlotte's crew saw a large crowd of people gathered around two CMPD cruisers. A Medic ambulance and Charlotte Fire crew were also dispatched to the incident and assisting. One person was being treated for injuries. It's unclear how serious that person's injuries are at this time.
It's unclear what led up to the shooting or if police are looking for any suspects.
