CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person is dead and two others were seriously injured in a crash in south Charlotte, according to Medic.
The deadly crash happened at the intersection of Edgewater Drive and South Boulevard early on Sunday morning. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said the driver struck a median, and his vehicle caught fire, causing extensive damage.
Medic arrived on the scene at 1:26 a.m. Two passengers were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver died at the scene.
The people involved in the crash have not yet been identified by police.
