Boaters watched in horror as people jumped for their lives from the boat that caught fire.
"Hopefully everyone is OK," said one witness who captured the scene on his cell phone. But everyone wasn't OK. NC Wildlife says there were five people on board at the time the boat caught fire. Four people jumped off.
One woman, Bailey Johnson, was blown off the boat when there was an explosion. She was badly burned and two of the other victims were also burned.
Luckily North Carolina Wildlife was close enough to hear the boom and says they had victims out of the water within 15 seconds.
Images show the boat when the fire was finally put out. It is barely recognizable. The boat will be towed out of the water Tuesday and an investigation into the cause will continue.
