Toddler reunited with family after being found alone in the Mallard Creek area, CMPD says

A person found the child, thought to be about 2 to 3 years old, walking along Mallard Creek Road near Baucom Road around 1 a.m.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A toddler has been reunited with his family hours after he was found by himself in northeast Charlotte early Monday morning, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said.

A person found the child, thought to be about 2 to 3 years old, walking near the intersection of Mallard Creek Road and Baucom Road around 1 a.m. and reported the sighting to police, officers said.

The child was wearing short sleeve pajamas with green leaves and an orange tiger design on them at the time he was found, according to CMPD.
