GOOSE CREEK, S.C. — A CSX train hit a tank, that was being carried on a truck, at a railroad crossing in Goose Creek, South Carolina. The crash happened on Thursday in the town, which is located near Charleston.
The tank was being carried on a flatbed truck, which appears to have become stuck on the railroad crossing. In a video obtained by WCNC Charlotte, the truck driver can be seen fleeing the truck moments before the train impacts his trailer.
No one was injured in the crash, according to the Goose Creek Police Department.
Portions of the roadway, identified as Liberty Hall near Redbank Road, were closed for an extended period of time because of the extensive damage to the intersection.
