CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Norfolk Southern train struck a tractor-trailer that got stuck on tracks in west Charlotte on Tuesday.
The crash happened on Tuesday around 2:30 p.m., according to the Norfolk Southern. Medic said no injuries were reported in the crash.
Officials say a tractor-trailer got stuck on the tracks near 8600 Old Dowd Road before being struck by a Norfolk Southern train. The truck was carrying steel beams and was unoccupied at the time of the impact, according to a Norfolk Southern spokesperson.
Old Dowd Road was closed as crews cleaned up the area. No HAZMAT spills were reported, according to the Charlotte Fire Department.
