Charlotte Fire responds to two-alarm apartment fire

An apartment complex on North Pine Street was showing heavy smoke upon arrival, officials say.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Fire Department is responding to a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex on the 2500 block of North Pine Street Monday night.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Charlotte fire said there was "heavy fire through the roof."

WCNC Charlotte has a crew at the scene and has reached out to CFD for more information about the incident.

At this time, it is unknown if there are any injuries as a result of the fire or how the fire began.
