CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- UNC Charlotte students say a neo-Nazi group is posting recruitment propaganda on campus.
The flier posted on Snapchat reads, "America was created a white nation…and it will be a white nation again."
University officials said on Monday they are aware of the fliers and are working to get more information.
However, students say they’re worried.
“It’s scary with all that’s been happening in the world lately you just never know with people,” one student told NBC Charlotte.
The flier is attributed to a group called "Your Local Stormer Book Club" and includes a link to a website, which seems to be run by the nationally infamous neo-Nazi group, "The Daily Stormer."
The webpage is full of racial slurs and white supremacist propaganda.
“It’s crazy, I mean we’ve had some other situations like that but an actual book club that’s a little insane,” student Ryan McDaniel said.
In September, UNCC students were shocked to find a "colored" sign hanging over a dormitory water fountain. The student who put it there later came forward claiming it was a joke.
But students say what was found Monday is far more concerning.
“The other thing was just like a flyer he could honestly say that was just a joke but this, they've put some thought into this so that is pretty scary," the student said.
UNCC administrators haven’t said much besides the fact that they’re aware of that photo. They have not said where it was found, or if they know who is behind it.
