COLUMBIA, S.C. (WLTX) - Richland County deputies are investigating a shooting they say took place at a Columbia mall Saturday afternoon.
Deputies say the shots were fired after two groups got into a dispute in the Columbia Place parking lot on Two Notch Road, then fled.
No vehicle descriptions are available at this time.
Two people were reportedly shot during the incident. One victim is being treated for life-threatening injuries to the upper body, while the other suffered non life-threatening injuries to the lower body.
One of the victims collapsed after walking into the food court following the shooting, according to the Richland County Sheriff's Department.
An investigation is currently underway.
