GASTONIA, N.C. — One person was injured and another was arrested after a shooting outside a Walmart on Sunday.
The shooting happened around 7 p.m. on East Franklin Boulevard, according to the Gastonia Police Department. One person was hurt in the shooting. Their injuries are not life threatening, police said.
Two different cars began shooting at each other in the middle of East Franklin in what Detectives are calling a road rage incident, Gastonia Police said.
A shooting suspect, later identified as Makiah Dakota Lippencott, was arrested at the scene, police said.
Lippencott is expected to appear in court on Monday morning.
