CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A water main break has closed part of a busy shopping center in south Charlotte Monday morning.
A water main broke in the Park Road Shopping Center in front of the Great Outdoor Provision store.
Water can be seen gushing out of the break and running along the parking lot of the shopping center.
Charlotte Water crews have not yet addressed the main break.
NBC Charlotte has learned the Cantina 1511 restaurant in the shopping center was also closed due to the break. A manager said they have water, but are closed as a precautionary move.
By 5:30, all customers except Great Outdoor Provisions had their water services restored.
City officials say once the repair is complete, crews will begin the process or rebuilding and repaving the area of the roadway that was impacted.
