CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A recovery center in Charlotte that helps women get back on their feet is now asking for your help.
The Women of Hope New Living Center says with the number of women asking for their help, they’re now in dire need of some critical items.
“There is a part of the month and year that you’ll see a lot of women calling and calling trying to get into sober living,” explained Valerie McCray, the center's CEO.
Walking through the home, McCray showed WCNC Charlotte empty cabinets and shelves – all of which she says were filled at one point.
McCray provided a list of the items they need the most, broken down into a few categories.
