LAKE WYLIE, S.C. — Crews with the York County Sheriff's Office and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources have recovered the body of a swimmer who went missing on Lake Wylie on Sunday.
The discovery came on Tuesday, two days after the swimmer was last seen.
The sheriff's office confirmed its lake patrol unit, aviation response unit, and dive team were all assisting the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources with the search. The search has been focused on the part of Lake Wylie south of the Buster Boyd Bridge.
The search was suspended Sunday night due to difficult weather conditions and resumed early Monday morning.
