ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — A Charlotte man is celebrating after winning big on a new scratch-off game.
Wilbur Grant bought a $10 50X The Cash scratch-off ticket and won the first of six $1 million top prizes. Grant bought the lucky ticket at the EP Mart on South Wesleyan Boulevard in Rocky Mount, N.C.
The 50X The Cash game came out in February. There are still five $1 million prizes left to be claimed.
At the NC Education Lottery headquarters Tuesday, Grant decided to take the $600,000 lump sum over a 20-year annuity of $50,000. After state and federal taxes, Grant took home $429,003.
