CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte man is celebrating a big win this week.
Jimareo Sherrill won a $1 million prize after buying a $50 scratch-off lottery ticket. Sherrill bought the $10 Million Spectacular scratch-off from a Walmart Supercenter on North Tryon Street.
Sherrill chose to collect the lump sum of $600,000 over an annuity of $50,000 over 20 years. After state and federal taxes, he took home $429,014.
