PINEVILLE, N.C. — A Pineville woman is celebrating more than just her birthday after winning a big lotto prize!
Latonya Louden's fiancé bought her a $5 Power Cashword ticket from B&M Food Service on Lancaster Highway. The lucky $5 scratch-off turned into a $150,000 prize for Louden.
“I was in disbelief,” Louden said. “I’ve never won anything like this.”
Now, Louden plans on celebrating her big birthday win by buying a new car. “I might get an SUV,” she said. “Maybe an Audi or an Acura.”
Louden claimed her prize at the lottery headquarters on Wednesday, bringing home $107,251 after taxes.
Debuting in October with six $150,000 top prizes, four still remain to be claimed.
