Jay Leno injured after falling down 60-foot hill

When TMZ and Inside Edition caught up with Leno this week, he was sporting an eye patch and explained what happened.

WASHINGTON — Jay Leno is recovering after suffering a major fall over the weekend.

The comedy legend explained to TMZ and Inside Edition that he fell down a 60-foot hill Saturday while staying at a Hampton Inn about 30 miles outside of Pittsburgh.

Leno told the outlets he tried to make his way down the hill as a shortcut while attempting to walk toward a restaurant nearby the hotel.

Despite hitting what he described as "a bunch of rocks," Leno performed a comedy show just three hours later and didn't go to the hospital until he returned to California.

When TMZ and Inside Edition caught up with Leno before another gig on Monday night, he revealed his injuries, including a swollen eye covered by an eye patch and black and blue bruises over half of his face.

Leno added that he also broke his wrist and lost a nail on a finger.

"I'm all black and blue," the comedian described.

This isn't the first time Leno has had serious injuries in the past couple years.

Back in 2022, he suffered severe burns to his face, chest and hands while working on a vintage car in his garage. He wound up at Grossman Burn Center in Los Angeles, where he stayed for 9 days for treatment for his third-degree burns.

On Wednesday night, Leno is performing at a charity event to raise money for the burn center that treated him.

Despite the worrisome looking injuries to his face and eye, Leno assured fans he'll be alright.

"It'll be fine, I'm not worried about it," he told Inside Edition.
