WASHINGTON — For those who haven't voted yet, nearly half of the states in the U.S. allow voters to register same-day and cast their ballots on Election Day.
While there is no national deadline to register to vote, each state sets their own rules and requirements.
The website Vote.gov has detailed state-by-state information on same-day voter registration, how to register and how to check your voter registration.
Which states allow same-day voter registration?
*North Dakota does not require voter registration, so a person is allowed to vote same day as long as they provide "an acceptable form of identification."
